Job Summary:

The position exists to maximize the revenue and contribution margin of Performance Adhesives & Sealants products sold into India. The employee should develop an in-depth understanding of the industries, applications, customers and market conditions and use this knowledge to develop and implement sales strategies to maximize the growth and return forthe Company. Primarily responsible for driving sales growth at targeted customers and managing current business through sales function. Key objectives include developing relationships with potential direct customers and distribution contacts.


Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Development of process & conducting analysis of present market size, competition, technology & process.
  • To capture opportunities to deliver revenue growth through process of sales and marketing of Sika’s product range in target market under Industry division.
  • The monitoring of market information to alert Sika to opportunity and competitive threat.
  • The delivery & implementation of effective communications and presentations to the relevant market & influencers to promote Sika and, the adherence of the sales activity to all corporate and statutory requirements with respect to competitive behaviour and key account management.
  • Managing commercial efforts at targeted accounts
  • Working closely with technology team to get Sika products qualified and technically approved
  • Proactively seeking information about markets, customer’s needs, trends, and communicating with the Market Field Managers, other Key Account Managers and other internal contacts
  • Expanding the use of existing products with current customers by gaining share of business.
  • Responsible for the sales of product range to the market field.
  • Establishing annual forecast for assigned accounts.
  • Maintaining current business and relationships with on-going, stable accounts
  • Collection of Account receivables in assigned customer base.


Qualifications / Experience:

  • Diploma or BE - in Polymers, Chemical, Mechanical
  • Experience in sales, product management, or business/market development roleswith at least 5 years in direct B2B sales experience in Automotive, Transportation orgeneral industrial markets in performance chemicals segment.
  • Previous experience managing existing large size customers.
  • Demonstrated self-starter and ability to work independently or within a team.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and leverage networks.

  • Business Manager / Head - Reporting, business monitoring
  • Technical Services - In country business development support & product validations
  • Supply Chain Manager - Demand Planning & imports to ensure control of inventory


Key Interfaces - External:

Customers - value adding, contracting, implementing strategy management, day today support through sales team, relationship building, business management, ARcontrol.
