Overview:

The Product Manager is responsible for the overall product management including specification, technical documentation, product performance evaluation, new product introduction, competition product analysis, third party and internal testing of products, training to sales team, application instructors and applicators, trouble-shooting on selected key project sites. The Product Manager is working closely with the Target Market team & R&D to ensure timely resolution of any product related technical issues in line with customer needs and overall company strategy and goals.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Implementation and compliance to PCP (Product Creation Process) as per company guidelines
  • Day to day management of Product Code creation, PLS, Shelf life revalidation and expired stock analysis.
  • Review of new products from third party suppliers
  • Supporting Target Market team in new product launch – preparation and data base management of Sika Marketing Flash, Sika@Work and Reference list, Test certificates, Technical drawings, etc.
  • Product testing – both internal and external (test house, customer QC)
  • Management of Product Technical documents like Product Data sheet, MSDS, Technical specification, Technical drawings, etc.
  • Preparation of technical bid submission for key projects
  • Supervise large projects in start-up phase or projects where new technologies are used for the first time to ensure 100% technical compliance with the Sika Method Statement.
  • Applicator evaluation and assessment as per company standard process
  • Technical risk assessment and warranty and recommendation to Target Market team.
  • Support sales to close technical disputes and claims in time.
  • Training - both internal and external
  • Implementation of "Train the Trainer" concept - dissipating learning from overseas training programs within local team.

 

Knowledge and Skills

Education:

BE / B.Tech Civil or equivalent with professional experience in relevant industry. Knowledge of Auto Cad or similar, MS Power point, MS Excel, MS Projects, etc. will be important.

 

Experience:

Minimum 5 years
