Sika® Multigard

Ready to use water based breathable epoxy undercoat for indoor applications

Sika® Multigard is a solvent free, water based, odourless, epoxy protective coating. It provides long lasting protection for wall against damp patches.

Usage

  • Used as coating on concrete, rendering, stone, asbestos and cement substrates.
  • Can be applied on absolutely damp surfaces without peeling off „
  • Used as an undercoat on internal damp patches on walls etc to allow entrapped moisture to breathe out.
  • Protective coating against weathering and mild chemical attack in areas such as cantilevers, galleries, retaining walls, basements, workshops, reservoirs and balconies.

Application steps

MIXING

Sika® Multigard is supplied in pre-batched system. Stir Part A and Part B well, separately. Add Part B into Part A and mix continuously for 2 minutes with a spatula until a uniform mix has been achieved. Over mixing must be avoided to minimize air entrainment.

APPLICATION

Slightly dampen the prepared surface before application. Apply Sika® Multigard by brush or roller within 20 - 30 min of mixing. Use minimum two coats.

CLEANING OF TOOLS

Clean all tools and application equipment with water immediately after use. Hardened and/or cured material can only be removed mechanically.
