Mould Release Agent

Ready to use low viscous mineral oil based mould release agent. Ready to use and easy to apply.

Usage

Sika® Separol Plus can be used on moulds to obtain clean and smooth concrete surface and it’s use facilitates fast and easy removal and cleaning of:
  • Steel formwork
  • Plastic formwork
  • Timber formwork
  • Aluminium formwork
  • Heated formwork

Shelf Life

12 months from date of production if stored properly in original unopened, undamaged, sealed packaging.

Storage Conditions

Protect from frost, direct sunlight and contamination. Opened units should be stored closed.

Application

Consumption

Steel, Aluminium or Plastic formwork 40-60 m2/l and Timber form 30 m2/l. The consumption is dependant on the surface texture and porosity of the formwork. Actual dosage to be finalised on the basis of site trials.
Application steps

APPLICATION

The moulds should be dry and clean.

Any residues of rust and concrete must be removed.

Sika® Separol Plus is applied in thin layers, covering the complete surface
(a second application may be necessary in case of highly absorbent formwork).

We recommend the use of a special spray gun with an operating pressure of
3-6 bar and a flat spraying nozzle.

Application by a brush, roller or cloth is also possible.

Accumulations of Sika® Separol Plus should be avoided.
Any excess should be wiped off using a cloth or sponge.

Before concreting preliminary test are recommended to optimise the procedure for each project.
