Usage

Sika® Plastiment®-3 VZ is used as retarding admixture in concrete where a controlled extention of setting time and slump flow retention is required.

Application Information

Compatibility

Sika® Plastiment®-3 VZ may be combined with many other Sika® Products.

Important: Always conduct trials before combining products in specific mixes and combinations. Compatible with all types of cement and cementitious materials.

DISPENSING

Sika® Plastiment®-3 VZ can be dispensed directly into the mixing water or added simultaneously into the concrete mixer.
Consumption

Recommended Dosage

0.20 – 2% by weight of cement. The retardation rate achieved is directly dependent on the dosage rate which in turn is influenced by quality of cement and aggregates, w/c ratio and temperatures.

It is advisable to carry out trial mixes to finalise the optimum dosage rate.
