Sika® UCS h

Underwater concrete stabilizer

Sika® UCS h is a concrete and grout admixture, containing alkali resistant stabilizers used to create thixotropic  anti bleed properties . Sika® UCS h prevents the wash out of cements and binders in water bearing ground conditions or under water applications.

Sika® UCS h provides the following properties:
  • Strong increased adhesion of the cement-paste with the aggregates.
  • Improves the cohesion within the cement paste.
  • Extremely reduced 'wash-out' of the cement paste.
  • It does not contain Chlorides nor does it attack the reinforcement.
  • It is bound with the cement-matrix and therefore is ecology wise harmless.

Usage

Sika® UCS h can be used in concrete or grouts in the following applications:
  • Placement of concrete under water
  • Pumping of grouts under water
  • Anti bleed agent

Shelf Life

6 months from date of production if stored in undamaged and unopened, original sealed containers.

Storage Conditions

Store in dry conditions, protec from direct sunlight and frost, at temperatures between +5°C and +40°C.

Concreting Guidance

Under water concreting guidelines must be followed. Using Sika® UCS h high quality concrete can be produced.

Compatibility

Sika® UCS h may be combined with many other Sika® products.

Important: Always conduct trials before combining products in specific mixes and combinations. Compatible with all types of cement and cementitious materials

DISPENSING

Sika® UCS h should preferably be added at the batching plant with the aggregate or cement to support dispersion.

A wet mixing time, which is depending on the mixing conditions and mixer performance of at least 90 seconds is recommended.
Consumption

Recommended Dosage

1.0 to 3.0 %, by weight of cement / binder for concrete, 0.2 to 1 % by weight of cement for cement injection/grouts. Actual dosage to be finalised on the basis of site trials.
